Jinchuan Group lifted its benchmark nickel price by 2,000 yuan ($295) per tonne on Tuesday after three-month nickel settled at an eight-week high on the London Metal Exchange on Monday. China's biggest nickel producer has raised its benchmark offer to 158,000 yuan per tonne. "LME nickel gained more than $300 yesterday, and it was expected that Jinchuan would increase offers," said a Shanghai-based trader.
